President's Letter
With one month of 2018 under our belt, I hope we are all hitting our
goals with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Have you had a chance to
attend a local Chamber of Commerce event yet? If not, we have some
very exciting months ahead full of amazing activities and speakers.
Please consider joining us for one or more of these events.
Rise with Roswell is scheduled for Thursday, March 15, and promises
to be a morning you won’t want to over sleep or sleep in. We will begin
bright and early at 6 a.m. with breakfast and a dynamic speaker. We
have invited Amberley Snyder. Amberley has inspired thousands across
America by telling her inspirational story and competing in rodeos

across the western United States. She has let
the challenges she faces refine her, not define
her. We don’t want to give too much of her
inspirational story away, so please come out
and join us. It will be a morning you won’t
forget. For more information or sponsorship
opportunities, contact the Roswell Chamber.
Another exciting event happening in 2018 is
the 31st Annual “Rise Over Roswell Balloon
Rally,” formerly the “Old Timers Balloon Rally.”
This long standing tradition was started by Bill
Glenn and a group of pilots many years ago,
and I am proud of the Chamber staff for their
willingness to take on this event and continue
the tradition. The event will begin on Friday,
May 4. For more information, contact the
Roswell Chamber.
In the coming year the Chamber will continue
to focus on strengthening the economy of
our community. In 2018, we will continue to
promote, inform, educate and advocate for our
members and help grow their businesses and
in turn grow our regional economy. We look
forward to working with each and every one of you in this new year.
Sincerely,
Kaye Whitefoot
