Executive Director's Letter

On A Positive Note….

We are one month into the New Year and what can I say, it’s It’s off to a great start!

We are definitely not idle or resting on our laurels! Between several trips to
Santa Fe participating in networking events and promoting our wonderful little
– big city, I had the awesome privilege to spend a few days with fellow executives
and learn what other Chambers are doing in our state while and addressing

legislative topics. We had the opportunity to attend the Chaves County EDC
legislative dinner, the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau AgFest 2018 and
the Legislative Reception with the Leadership Roswell class, where, of course, we
were the most sought-after booth again this year! I truly appreciate the Redcoats
Candace Lewis for attending and representing Roswell and Chaves County so magnificently!
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We confirmed our Annual Rise with Roswell Speaker, Amberly Snyder for March 15th! Please see full flyer on this
event. It’s a little early but will definitely be worth waking up for!

Another event we are super excited about, is the Annual Balloon Rally that was formerly the “Old Timers Balloon
Rally.” It is with great excitement that the Roswell Chamber has taken the responsibility of offering this event
and continuing this much anticipated annual Annual tradition. However, the event is now the Roswell Chamber

of Commerce 31st Annual “Rise OVER Roswell Balloon Rally.” Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date information
regarding this exciting event!

We are doing everything but keeping still! In February, we will kick off our Membership 101 class. This is for
ANYONE that is a member or that might be interested in joining the Chamber. We will speak on the advertising and
networking benefits the Chamber has to offer your business and educate the public on what the Chamber does in

our community.

I would like to also encourage everyone that has Facebook or Instagram or any other social media platform, to look up
YOUR Roswell Chamber of Commerce and like us, follow us and attend our events. They are free and open to anyone!

Keep in mind that the Municipal Election will be March 6th, early voting begins on February 14th for more details
on voting sites, you can go to www.roswellnm.org or continue reading in this months Chamber Connections for all
the details. Best of luck to all the candidates!!
