President's Letter
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
And just like that, 2017 is over and 2018 has begun. The new year
is a good time to reevaluate not only new goals for the year but also
your business as well, and consider joining or rejoining the chamber if
you’re not a current member. There are a lot of opportunities to make
connections right here in the local Roswell community. Also, if you are
a current member and you know of a business that is currently not a
member of the Chamber, please feel free to invite them to come to an
event or to join the Chamber.
In 2018, just as in 2017, it is important that we as a community

continue to support our local economy in the face of all of the big
box competition not to mention the impact the internet continues to have on our local brick-and-mortar
businesses. It is vital to keep our local businesses thriving as they greatly impact our schools, our county and
our city.
We have many events coming up this month—Power Lunch, Business After Hours, several Ribbon Cutting
Ceremonies, as well as Ag Fest in Santa Fe just to mention a few. Get with the staff at the Roswell Chamber
and they can hook you up with all the pertinent information to get your New Year started off on the right foot.
2018 is barely underway and I’m sure our lists and
goals are growing every day. Do me a favor, add one
