Executive Director's Letter

                                      On a Positive Note….

Was it me or did January just draaaaaaag on? Then I blinked, and February was gone…
and now here we are in March.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best, “Our life is March weather, savage and serene in one
hour.” The winds, as we all know, are here to blow away the stubborn winter while
springtime awaits patiently to bloom once the dust settles.

March is National Agriculture Month, and as you all know this is one of the Chamber’s
favorite time of year. We get the honor and privilege to show our appreciation to the
largest industry in Southeastern New Mexico. Each year in March we host the Annual
Rise with Roswell Agriculture breakfast at the Eastern New Mexico fairgrounds.

Candace Purcella We are truly excited about this year’s event! We have invited the Peterson Farm
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Brothers as our guest speaker. You won’t want to miss out on this! Yes, it’s a little early,
but it is well worth getting up and coming out and having a nice warm breakfast, and the
opportunity to hear these two young men. They manage to incorporate fun while educating the crowd on their everyday
farming lives. For more information on how to get tickets or sponsor a table, click on this link:

We listened and now we are executing. We heard from our members that they would like for us to help with training, more
education on business related topics, customer service, and so much more. We are happy to announce that we have invited
Mr. Glen Shephard to the Roswell Chamber of Commerce for a half day training seminar on “How to Supervise and Lead a
Team.” This short but intensive, and yes, enjoyable, seminar will teach you how to effortlessly

        1. Defuse Tension
        2. Derail Toxic Behavior

        3. Defang even the most malicious employee and

        4. Energize your people and bring everyone together solidly as a team.
This is just the beginning of so many other seminars to be offered by your Roswell Chamber of Commerce. Click on the link
for more information on how to get registered for this ½ day seminar. Trust me you won’t be sorry you did.
